Difference between a domain name and hosting service

What is the difference between a domain name and hosting service?

A domain name is your website URL and allows you to be identified and found on the internet.

A hosting service provides the space to store your website data as well as create email addresses. These services will therefore need to work hand in hand.

Without a domain, you won't be discoverable on the internet, and without a hosting service, you won't be able to create email addresses and upload website data.
